We have just completed a six week puppy training class with Steve and Cardiff K9 training. The communication before the class was excellent and included a personal phone call with Steve. The location of the class was very convenient for us with good parking and the class size is small which enables lots of input with your dog. Steve's puppy classes were great! Our Reggie was an anxious pup but Steve was really patient and didn't push it with him and his confidence has now grown massively! Worked with Cardiff K9 (Steve) on his Transformation package after contacting him when I’d pretty much lost all hope. My rescue dogs reactivity was out of control, I felt like I was failing her, every walk ended in tears and frustration. I lost all confidence and hope and genuinely didn’t know if she’d ever be able to enjoy life, I was in the absolute trenches of dog ownership with no hope at all and now I can look back at those days with so much pride knowing how far we’ve come. Thanks to steve- I enjoy my dog again, I enjoy walks and I know my dog does too, I no longer feel that I’m failing her- me and my dog are a team and I have confidence that I’m doing right by her. This behaviourist genuinely changed both mine and my dogs life and I don’t know where we would have ended up without it. Steve is amazing; He is friendly and has great communication, he keeps regular updates on the training school website with loads of videos and information to help you on your journey. Rocky loved him and in just 2 lessons Rocky was fully off lead walking and answering recall, by the end of the 5 lessons he was walking perfect on short lead and no longer bounding up and jumping on people to say hello.

Steve has been absolutely amazing with training my Cavapoo even after 2 sessions there is a massive difference in my dog not pulling on the lead, it’s a pleasure to take him for walks now, I can’t recommend Steve highly enough absolutely incredible trainer Had my third session today and my dog has completely transformed it’s an absolute pleasure in walking him, I honestly can’t thank Steve enough I wish I had done this when he was a puppy Steve is absolutely amazing thank you

We had a really positive experience with Steve. He was brilliant with our puppy and really helped us with his recall and overall training. He explained everything clearly and, just as importantly, gave us the confidence to continue the training ourselves at home. I started working with Steve on resource guarding with my dog and a tennis ball. He provided a step by step plan and 121 sessions, I really liked that he was upfront about what method he thinks works and realistic that it wasn’t a quick fix and required time, I appreciated his honesty and experience. He provided a clear 30 day programme that slowly but surely worked! Months later I can still manage my dog with the ball and even enjoy playing with him again. He also helped with anxious barking at our home, my dog listened straight away to the command. Steve also provided WhatsApp support if I needed to check something or ask a question. Puppy training classes with CardiffK9Training utilises no nonsense techniques , resulting in a well behaved and socialised puppy/dog. Steve makes the classes fun reinforcing the techniques through practise and enrichment activities. It is also lovely to chat to other puppy owners about their experiences. We have just finished our dog training with Steve (Cardiff k9 training), and we can't recommend him highly enough. From our very first conversation, where we discussed our goals, right through to our final training walk, Steve has been absolutely fantastic. From the moment he met Mutty, he was calm, professional, and immediately put both us and our dog at ease. Rather than simply telling us what to do, Steve demonstrated the techniques and then coached us every step of the way, giving us the confidence to continue the training ourselves. He was incredibly flexible, meeting us at home, in local parks, and tailoring every session to our specific needs. What we loved most was the individual rather than generic approach, thoroughly understanding our dog breed’s temperament. We covered a wide range of real-life situations, from calmly passing other dogs on narrow footpaths to reducing barking and excitement when the doorbell rings. Every session was practical, personalised, and focused on achieving the outcomes we wanted. It really was a complete 360-degree service.
